Please ensure you have read the new SASC Operating Procedures in place for sailing on the reservoir as a result of Government Covid-19 Restrictions
We are allowing competent juniors to sail, but with a reduced windspeed limit of 10 knots, a requirement to use a masthead float, and with a responsible parent in attendance at all times to assist with rigging & de-rigging, launching & recovery.
For sailing to take place there have to be confirmed volunteers for the roles of OOD, Assistant & Safety Boat Driver.
No Volunteers, No Sailing.
The OOD’s will be Committee Members, but the Assistant and a competent Safety Boat Driver must be from the general membership, and you are required to combine a 2 hour sailing slot booking with at least a separate 2 hour volunteering session on the same, or an alternative day. Please check the volunteer calendar for availability.
Volunteers are required for dates and times in RED :
If you intend racing on a Sunday, select both 13.00 & 14.00 for a racing slot
Safety Boat Duties are for the full duration of sailing activities. Assistants should volunteer for a minimum of 2 hours, especially if also booking a 2 hour sailing timeslot on the same day.
Sundays : 10.00 to 17.00 hrs
Wednesdays : 18.00 to 21.00 hrs
